1. What are cookies?

Cookies and similar technologies are small pieces of data stored in your browser or device. They may help maintain sessions, remember preferences, support security, manage usage limits, and measure the site experience.

Similar technologies may include local storage, session storage, pixel tags, advertising measurement code, PWA service workers, and security verification tools.

2. Essential cookies

Essential cookies and similar records may be used for sessions, admin/member login, security, language preference, cookie preferences, PWA features, rate limits, temporary analysis access after rewarded ads, and core site functionality.

Without these cookies, membership, analysis access management, bot protection, security checks, or core site features may not work properly.

Essential cookies are generally required to provide the requested service and may operate regardless of analytics or advertising preferences.

3. Analytics and performance

Analytics and performance cookies help us understand site speed, error signals, commonly used pages, search flows, PWA usage, and product improvement needs.

Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica, or similar tools are enabled only when configured and where the required preference/consent conditions are met.

This data should be used primarily as aggregated or technical signals to improve quality, performance, and reliability rather than to make individual decisions about users.

4. Advertising and marketing

Advertising and marketing cookies may be used for sponsored placements, frequency capping, campaign measurement, conversion tracking, rewarded ad flows, and advertising revenue models.

When Google Ads, AdSense, Google Ad Manager, Meta Pixel, or similar third-party advertising systems are active, those providers’ own cookie and data policies may also apply.

The StayRadar trust score is designed to be calculated separately from commercial relationships; advertising cookies do not replace the score methodology.

5. Managing preferences

You can reopen the preference panel from the “Manage Cookie Preferences” link in the footer and change analytics or advertising choices.

You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings; session, language preference, analysis access, PWA, and security features may then work in a limited way.

Third-party advertising or analytics providers may also offer their own preference and opt-out mechanisms. Those settings are managed through the provider’s tools.
